Anonymous asked: Hey Psych- I just downloaded "A Peek Through My Window"- great stuff! I am particularly intrigued by the tune "Greenfields." I remember a folk-styled version of this with vocals from the early 1960's or late '50's. I was a little kid back then and the memory is very nostalgic for me. I don't remember the artist, and I hadn't heard the tune since then until I dowloaded your recording. I have 2 questions: first, do you know which artist did the vocal version of this tune, and second, do you have it or know where I can find it? It's a piece of my childhood, and I would be tickled pink (phosphorescent, of course) to hear it again. You're doing a great job. Your grateful fans worship you.

First of all, I have records from all over the world and I am not just a fan of psychedelic or hip hop music. I love all music in general therefore I am music. I am not much for answering questions as far as to whereabouts of recordings, but this song or this particular version I psychedelically altered has a deeper childhood meaning, and an ode somewhat to a childhood memory in sound. I couldn’t tell you who did the original version, but I can tell you that this version was recorded in the 1975 by my father’s band, Los Paranas de Paraguay.

This was one of their later recordings, being their first recordings were recorded in in the 50’s. Los Paranas were a traditional Paraguayan Trio that were formed in the late 50’s. In the late 60’s they added the addition of a harpist in the band, which is holding the lead in “Greenfields” and is played through a wah wah. The band folded and came to a halt in the early 90’s. Unfortunately, it’s only the music that I had to remind me of that moment in time.
