Al Rivera, or better known as L.A.AL, is a product of the historic city of East Los Angeles. His roots as a musician are stemmed in the East Los Angeles punk rock scene in the mid to late 90’s. He recorded albums with notable East L.A groups Dial 69 and Homesick in the late 90’s. L.A.AL and his bands gigged all throughout the Los Angeles underground punk rock scene. Shows that included backyard gigs that turned into a hazy mosh pits of kicked up dirt, blood, and sweat of the angst of the teenage spirit.

After these memorable high school years, he continued to play with new bands, and even stepped away from the hardcore and melodic punk rock scene and branched off to more indie territory with his band Gunradio. Before his Gunradio sessions, he was introduced to Sir Psych in the Summer of 2001, and everything after that changed.
